An acclaimed and experienced improviser and comedian, Rebecca De Unamuno has performed for the past 25 years at various venues and festivals throughout the world including Just for Laughs, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and New Zealand Fringe Festival.<\/p>\n

She has performed with accomplished improvisers around the world and has toured, multiple times, with\u00a0Seinfeld\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0Jason Alexander.<\/p>\n

Rebecca has appeared on a variety of popular Australian TV shows including\u00a0Just for Laughs Australia, The Chaser\u2019s War on Everything, Slideshow, CNNNN, Comedy Inc: The Late Shift, Talkin\u2019 \u2018Bout Your Generation, <\/em>and\u00a0Kath and Kim<\/em>.<\/p>\n

On radio she has been a guest co-host on Triple M\u00a0Breakfast<\/em>, is a regular guest on\u00a0Thank God It\u2019s Friday<\/em>\u00a0(ABC Radio), ABC Radio Sydney Breakfast<\/em>, ABC Radio Sydney Mornings<\/em>, and in 2016 she joined the ABC Radio Sydney presenting team. She works extensively in the world of voice-overs, including on\u00a0Happy Feet 2,<\/em>\u00a0working alongside Robin Williams, Hank Azaria, and Elijah Wood.<\/p>\n

Rebecca is the newsreader and voice-over artist on the daily podcast The Chaser Report<\/em>, which was nominated for Best Comedy Podcast at the 2021 Australian Podcast Awards.<\/p>\n

She is the audience warm-up for several popular Australian television shows, including Gruen<\/em>, Question Everything<\/em> and Australia Talks<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Rebecca\u2019s performances have earned her much critical acclaim. She was the recipient of the MICF Moosehead Award in 2005 and Pick of the Sydney Fringe in 2013. She received nominations for Best Comedy at the New Zealand Fringe Festival and Most Outstanding Newcomer to Television in 2003.<\/p>\n

Rebecca is a two-time Theatresports Cranston Cup Champion. She was a member of the Australian team which won the Improv World Cup at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal and was the first woman in the history of the competition to be named Player of the Tournament<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Rebecca De Unamuno is one of the most versatile comedians working in Australia today.
